As part of URMP Ayodhya preparation, a brief visit to Ayodhya was undertaken from 13th – 17th September 2022 to build on the preliminary secondary data collected for the baseline. The team met and interacted with concerned departments such as Ayodhya Nagar Nigam, Ayodhya Development Authority, Irrigation department, Forest Department, Fisheries department and Jal Nigam. A field study of some important sites of interventions such as Guptar Ghat, Ram Ki Paidi, etc. were also made. Likewise, the team also travelled through the length of Sarayu River to understand the river edge character on either side and visited few waterbodies such as Lal Diggi, Fatehganj pond, etc. to observe the present-day scenario.
