At the Amity School of Architecture and Planning, Amity University, Noida, an inception workshop on ‘Water and River Sensitive Urban Development’ was conducted on 2nd May 2023. The workshop, organized by the Water and Environment Vertical at NIUA, aimed to explore opportunities and identify potential entry points for water and rivers in academia. It was attended by students of B.Plan, B.Arch, and M.Arch. The session focused on helping students understand the significance of rivers in integrating river-centric thinking into a city’s long-term vision. Additionally, it aimed to familiarize students with the various projects being undertaken by NIUA for the comprehensive management of urban rivers.
