A member of the River Cities Alliance, Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly Aurangabad) has been awarded the runners-up position for the 2023-2024 WRI Ross Centre Prize for Cities in the event held in New York, USA on 27 September 2024.
The city received this recognition because of its collaborative efforts in reviving and restoring the Kham River involving the municipal corporation, industry partners, NGOs, and citizens. Read more about this story
